Is it true that dog licks fasten the time for a wound to heal?

One of my neighbors suggested that I use a dog's lick to fasten the time for a wound to heal, for i do not belive this silly fact. Is this really true?Is it true that dog licks fasten the time for a wound to heal?
Forget your neighbors advice. A dog licks a wound to clean it. However, it can lick so much the wound does not have a chance to heal over. Hence, the cones around the neck. Dog have less germs in their mouths than humans, true, but we are not compatible. So keep the dog away and use human methods to heal your wound. Is it true that dog licks fasten the time for a wound to heal?
will it help to heal you faster? no. will it keep the area clean? yes. i don't see why you would really need to use a dog for that with modern luxuries but it won't do anything. that's right, no infection unless your dog has something really bad in their mouth. a dog's mouth has been proven to have less bacteria in their mouth than a human(weird right?!) anyway if you want your dog to lick your wound then fine but it won't really do anything
Besides cleaning the blood off of the wound, it doesn't do anything to heal it any faster. Whether or not it brings infection is another story.
No, you will however open up the chance for skin infection due to dfferent bacteria in a dogs mouth.
That helps to keep a wound clean but i don't think that it helps it heal.
