Is it true that human pregnancy kit also works on dogs?

A human pregnancy kit measures the levels of hCG in the urine. hCG is ';Human Chorionic Gonadotropin'; and is not present in dogs.

One chemical marker for canine pregnancy is actually Relaxin, though to my understanding canine pregnancy is usually confirmed by U/S at the vet's, not by a chemical assay. Relaxin has been tested in research to try to detect canine pregnancy, but I don't think there is a commercial test for dogs utilizing it yet.

The other test option for dogs at the vet is a blood test, which measures Fibrinogen. Fibrinogen over 300 ug/dL is a positive result. Though, remember that it's a blood test, not a take-home kit you can do yourself. Is it true that human pregnancy kit also works on dogs?
Why do you want to know? I certainly hope that you are a responsible dog owner and your dog/s are spayed/neutered. How stupid, of course human pregnancy tests don't work on dogs. Whoever told you that is a moron. Is it true that human pregnancy kit also works on dogs?
On TV , Living with the wolf man, I saw him do a human test on a wolf so it might work on dogs.
