Is it true Navajos used to live in Mexico?

I read that Mexico was a much bigger place in the 1600 or 1700s, it was said Navajo lived in Mexico, is this true? Are Navajo originally Native Mexicans? Is it true Navajos used to live in Mexico?
In those times Mexico wasn't a country, as Mexico is in North America. So no they weren't Native Mexicans because Mexico was considered to be part of America in those times. The people who live in Mexico in today's times are Mexicans. The Navajos lived in parts of the now country Mexico but this does not make them Mexicans, because Mexico became a country later on. There were also other tribes that lived in present day Mexico too.Is it true Navajos used to live in Mexico?
For the second time

A second and last wave of Athabascans (or Athapaskans) left the main group from Alaska and northwest Canada and would follow an inland migration route into the southwestern part of the United States and northern Mexico.

The Native Brothers used to own about all of northern Mexico besides the Aztecs and the Mayans. And they are Native Americans. Remember, Columbus called this land America before Mexico became a country.
